Operating Archetypes: Philanthropy’s New Tool for Strategic Clarity
As a philanthropic organization, do you most resemble a Talent Agent, or a Designer? Or perhaps your organization is more of a Campaign Manager, or Venture Catalyst. Understanding—and aligning internally and externally on—your philanthropy’s Operating Archetype can help enhance your impact.

As explained in a recent publication by Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors (RPA), Operating Archetypes: Philanthropy’s New Tool for Strategic Clarity, a philanthropic organization’s Operating Archetype is a model of how an organization works to drive progress in its chosen areas of impact. The models for the eight archetypes are defined by several core attributes, ranging from the philanthropy’s value proposition, skills, how it approaches relationships, and more.

Join us on June 22 to learn more about this new analytical framework, developed by Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors’ (RPA) with input from dozens of foundations and nonprofit partners around the world as part of the Theory of the Foundation learning collaborative, including:
• What operating archetypes are
• How understanding your operating archetype can enhance your impact, particularly given the challenges of today
• When and how to implement the concepts embedded in the operating archetypes and related concepts, including The Philanthropy Framework
• How others are using or planning to use the tool

Speakers include:
Melissa Berman, CEO of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors
Richard Tate, Executive Vice President, California Wellness Foundation
Georgia Pessoa, CEO of Humanize Institute
Renee Karibi-Whyte, Senior Vice President, Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors
